The Virgins, è un gruppo nato nel 2005 in quel di New York,. Quattro sono i componenti di “The Virgins”: Erik Ratensperger, Donald Cumming, Wade Oates and Nick Zarin-Ackerman. Sono stati in giro, in concerto come supporto, con gli australiani Jet, gli statunitensi Sonic Youth e con Patty Smith. The Virgins nel 2008 hanno suonato in diverse parti nel mondo e le loro apparizioni in Europa, in modo particolare in Inghilterra, li hanno fatti diventare in breve una band tra le più apprezzate. Questo singolo “Rich girls” è stato al numero 68 della speciale classifica delle migliori canzoni del 2008 stilata da Rolling Stone’s.
